One of the original establishments along the California Coast in the quaint town of Olema, our Farm House Restaurant and Bar first opened its doors to wagoners and travelers in 1865, and like good wine, the Farm House is aging well.
Ever since those first days, the Farm House Restaurant has been regarded by travelers and locals alike as a pleasurable getaway for dining and for peaceful enjoyment of the Point Reyes National Seashore.
"Olema makes no pretensions to being much of a town, a few buildings modestly grouped in a vale (among) inviting pastures covered with herds of fat, glossy cattle".The Marin County Journal, April 24, 1873
...and nearly 140 years later, things are much the same.
The bar still feels like an old-time cowboy bar with tin ceilings, plank flooring and colorful stained glass windows.
Featuring cuisine that caters to every palate, we remain true to “life on the farm” by using farm-fresh ingredients. The Farm House continually supports organic farming and sustainable practices whenever possible.
The seasonally-changing menu is supplemented with daily special offerings to take advantage of the freshest available ingredients.
Our Farm House Deli is perfect for beach or in-room picnics. Rotisserie chickens, hot paninis, homemade wraps, sandwiches, desserts, espressos, lattes, beer and wine can all be found “to-go” at the deli, located adjacent to the restaurant and lodge.
The Farm House Restaurant, at the Point Reyes Seashore Lodge, is the perfect location for private parties, weddings and receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate banquets, birthday celebrations, or family picnics. The Farm House and the adjoining Point Reyes Seashore Lodge offer several locations to accommodate your event. We have facilities for both indoor and outdoor dining.
The Park Room, surrounded by windows overlooking Redwood trees, the Olema Creek and our Clemente Gardens, can seat up to 40 guests. Enjoy a glowing fire in the fireplace while your guests watch the sunset over the Olema Ridge.
The Clemente Garden is a beautiful setting for any occasion. Located outdoors underneath majestic Redwood trees near the Olema Creek, this setting features colorful flower beds, lush lawns, a bubbling stone fountain, and an outdoor bar. For parties up to 100 guests, this is an ideal location for a wedding and reception or rehearsal dinner.
